Job Description

Ledgent is working with a growing software company looking to add (NEW headcount!) a Staff Accountant to their team. Ideal candidate would have a Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance and 1-2 years experience under their belt (internships, contracts included!).

Direct Hire Position. $65,000-$75,000 + Bonus. Saint Louis Park (HYBRID) 3x/week on site. MUST LIVE LOCAL.

Job Description:

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely posting of financial transactions.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and other necessary entries to close the books.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the monthly and annual closing processes by preparing necessary financial reports and assisting with the timely closing of financial periods.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring proper coding and timely payments and collections.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of internal financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
  • 1+ year of experience in A/P, A/R, or a Staff Accountant capacity
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • ERP experience
